Thornton Livery provides DIY and grass livery options within superb facilities, all set amidst picturesque countryside on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We accommodate horses of all types, from fluffy ponies to competitive athletes, and cater to everyone, from young steeds to those enjoying their retirement. Our estate boasts 70 acres of grazing and well-designed stables, divided into smaller yards, allowing you to select your preferred stable from those available. All clients have access to an undercover wash bay and equine solarium, along with tie-up points and hose booms throughout the yard. There are five secure tack rooms and a dedicated area for spare rugs. Thornton features a spacious outdoor arena with designated areas for both dressage and show jumping, complete with a full set of show jumps. The indoor school is equipped with plastic jumps and dressage markers, and both arenas are reserved exclusively for our liveries. The location is ideal for excellent hacking, with the Tyne Esk trail running directly through the farm, as well as numerous off-road routes and tranquil country lanes winding through the scenic Midlothian landscape.
