Nestled between Cowlinge and Wickhambrook, close to Newmarket, is a small, welcoming private yard offering herd grazing for a maximum of five liveries, alongside three of my own horses. During the summer, they are turned out at night and brought in during the day, while in winter they are kept in at night and turned out for as much of the day as weather and ground conditions allow. The assisted DIY service includes stable access, shavings (typically Phillips wood shred), and hay, with the option to add feed such as Spillers daily balancer and Spillers Daily Fibre or a similar product. I handle feeding and turn-out during weekday mornings, and we share the responsibilities for weekends and evenings. Generally, all tasks around the yard are completed collectively, although if you plan to ride later, you can request that we do not feed your horse. This arrangement is quite flexible. Full, part, and retirement livery options are also available, so please get in touch to discuss a tailored package. Horses enjoy all-year turnout, except in extreme weather. We have a grass schooling arena measuring 60x20, complete with markers for both 60m and 40m layouts, along with a jumping paddock filled with jumps during summer months. We cultivate our own hay, and most stables have rubber matting with shavings beds. We have transport and, before the pandemic, frequently attended clinics, lessons, BD, unaffiliated dressage, jumping, cross country, and eventing. Additionally, we engage in dressage and jumping at home, along with hacking in the forest and beach, and it would be lovely to have someone join us. We are currently in the process of constructing a barn conversion for ourselves, a barn with indoor stables for the horses, and a 60x20 manège. While the yard may not be the tidiest at present, we have great plans for its future. Once the stable barn is finished, the remaining mobile stables will be repurposed as field shelters or storage. As we are situated on clay, be prepared for muddy conditions in winter. Well-behaved children and dogs are welcome, provided they get along with my dogs and those of the other liveries. Please bear in mind that we are a work in progress, and our horses are kept as a herd, unlike some nearby yards that offer individual turnout. Ideally, I would prefer geldings or a non-mare-ish
