Springwood Livery Yard is a discreet, family-operated facility located in Holmesfield, South Yorkshire, nestled within the grounds of my country residence. The yard accommodates a maximum of eight horses, comprising five liveries and three of my own. We offer a comprehensive livery service tailored for owners who appreciate meticulous attention to detail. Our primary aim is to foster a calm and happy environment for both horse and owner. The yard provides excellent hacking opportunities, with immediate access to a quiet lane and nearby bridle paths. Each horse benefits from a spacious 12x12 stable, featuring rubber matting on the floors and walls, along with hot water for washing off. The heated tack room is equipped with a rug washer, and there's a small fee for using the self-service washing machine. Additional amenities include toilet facilities and a kitchen area complete with a fridge and sink. A large, warm boiler room is available for drying rugs.We have separate paddocks for turnout, ensuring horses are never left alone outdoors or in their stables. Turnout is available year-round, except during severe weather, and at night when temperatures are high. Our outdoor ménage, which is flooded with light, features fibre sand and basic jumps and poles that can be used without the need for prior booking or extra fees. A whiteboard is provided for scheduling lessons or notifying us of when you wish to work your horse independently. We maintain a consistent daily routine, with two experienced staff members on duty each morning to care for the horses, including feeding, turnout, and mucking out stables. There is always someone on site, 24/7, to conduct regular checks on the horses. The yard is equipped with security lights and CCTV for added safety. Horses have access to unlimited hay as needed, along with basic pony nuts and chaff, and the weekly fee includes three bales of shavings for bedding (additional bedding can be provided at cost).
