Smeltings Farm Riding Centre, a family-owned establishment since 1986, is located on the fringes of Sheffield, just four miles from the city centre. Nestled within 35 acres, it offers stunning views of the Mayfield Valley and is a mere quarter-mile from the Peak District National Park. We provide both private and group lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Our lessons are conducted by qualified instructors who possess the necessary expertise to teach at various levels. Our diverse selection of horses and ponies ranges from 12.2hh to 17.2hh, accommodating all ages. During school holidays, we also organise additional lessons and courses for children. Our full livery service is unparalleled, characterised by our extensive facilities and the exceptional care provided by our dedicated staff. We pride ourselves on offering professional and compassionate care for all our horses, along with access to high-quality amenities. As a British Horse Society Approved centre, we have stabling for thirty-six horses. Our trained staff are wholly committed to the welfare of every horse in our care, with dedicated Yard Supervisors overseeing specific stable blocks to ensure consistent levels of supervision and care.
