Ridden Paddock Paradise Livery is situated near Newport in Shropshire. This new facility for ridden horses, which opened in February 2023, expands our previous offerings of retirement, non-ridden, and rehabilitation livery. Located about a mile from our existing rehab and retirement yard, this dedicated yard embraces the Paddock Paradise concept. We focus on horse-centric care, ensuring we meet the essential, natural needs of our horses. This includes providing 24/7 turnout, unlimited forage, herd living, and an environment appropriate for their species. Our yard operates on a barefoot-only basis and offers full livery services. Please note that we do not stable or graze horses. Our Woodland Track System comprises a non-grass, partially surfaced Paddock Paradise track spanning over 8 acres of scenic woodland, with plans to complete the surfacing. We provide ad lib, netted meadow hay available around the clock and promote herd living for both mares and geldings, ensuring a grass-free habitat conducive to horse welfare. The area features solar-powered electric fencing with backup batteries, an introduction pen, and designated feeding zones. We offer ByHiggins Lick Safe with access to salt and mineral licks at all times and automatic water troughs, along with additional salt water. Natural shelter is provided by the woodland, and various enrichment sources are available, including a Halter Hanger for convenient access to headcollars at the entrance. Our facilities cater to horses with laminitis, metabolic issues, obesity, or those prone to anxiety and stress-related behaviours, encouraging natural movement and a high-fibre, low-sugar diet in line with their natural needs. The facilities include a tack room and tea room with secure storage, seating, a microwave, kettle, fridge, and an on-site tuck shop. There is also an indoor barn with holding pens for appointments and grooming sessions during inclement weather (not for stabling). Our secure yard area features tie-up rings and a second yard for washing. We have an outdoor seating area for liveries with heating, a grass exercise or riding area, a small car park, and storage for lorries and trailers. We provide access to quiet country lanes, woodland and field trails, and bridleways for off-site hacking. Our experienced team, specialised in rehabilitation, is committed to addressing issues related to diet, movement, and hoof trimming. We are happy to transition horses to barefoot upon their arrival if necessary. Regular visits
