Lower Farm Stables in Lavendon is a small family-run enterprise that has been operating since 1991, situated at the junction of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Northamptonshire. Initially, we were a BHS-approved and award-winning riding school, but since 2005, we have focused exclusively on livery services and continue to thrive. In recent years, we have made significant investments in our facilities, beginning with the construction of a new block containing 12 stables within a secure yard. Designed and built by ourselves, these stables feature numerous unique attributes. Each stable measures at least 4m x 4m, equipped with dual lighting, a tap, and a large window offering various views for your horse. Our spacious rug and feed rooms can accommodate all your equipment, and we provide lockers for your personal belongings. The tack room is highly secure, and the entire premises benefit from a state-of-the-art security and fire alarm system. We even have a tea room furnished with a fridge, kettle, and coffee machine for your convenience. Our outdoor arena measures 20m x 45m, complete with large mirrors and a newly installed Combi Ride surface as of May 2024. We ensure it is regularly maintained, providing excellent riding conditions, along with ample poles and show jumps. The hacking available here is outstanding, with the bridleway running directly through our property and connecting to the Three Shires Way, eliminating the need for road riding. We take great pride in our paddock maintenance and have invested in new machinery to manage this ourselves, employing practices such as aeration, resting, and rotating grazing. Our stringent ragwort removal policy keeps its growth to a minimum, allowing us to provide year-round grazing. Horses are typically grouped in pairs or trios, as we believe all horses should enjoy the three "Fs": freedom, forage, and friends. In the summer, they are turned out overnight, while in winter, they are turned out during the day with no restrictions. We carry out daily mucking and follow a strategic worming programme based on faecal egg counts. We also offer regular clinics in poles, jumping, and dressage. Kate Gregory, who obtained her first instructor qualification in 1987 and her BHSI certificate in 1999, has extensive experience with all breeds of horses and ponies, covering all aspects of their care. She is adept at addressing behavioural issues and provides riding lessons for all levels, alongside
