Longmarsh offers a more natural approach to horse management, catering to both competitive riders and those with companion animals alike. The mile-long track features a variety of surfaces, including sand, gravel, and stone, making it ideal for transitioning horses and maintaining healthy barefoot hooves. It also allows for restricted grass access, beneficial for horses that need to manage their weight, are sensitive to grass, or simply enjoy the company of others. The track is particularly advantageous for young horses learning to navigate herd dynamics, those with stable vices, and animals recovering from injuries that require more movement and companionship in a calm environment. We provide ad-lib low-sugar meadow hay, which we grow ourselves, and it is always accessible in various feeders. A newly constructed barn offers a spacious and well-lit environment, complete with bedding made from recycled wood materials. Our facilities include a tack room, feed room, toilet, and a tea room. The estate spans 450 acres, featuring private off-road hacking routes and quiet lanes. We offer both part and full livery packages over a seven-day period. Our staff manage mucking out with a quad bike and trailer, as well as distributing hay. Horses are checked and fed each morning if necessary, while owners are welcome to visit in the evenings to see their animals during part livery. I frequently share updates and photos in a private group for liveries, fostering communication among owners for ride planning and social events. Our yard is a friendly community of like-minded and caring individuals.
