HMN Sporthorses is a private professional establishment located near Berkeley in Gloucestershire, providing a range of services including full livery, training, sales, and competition livery (no DIY options), as well as lessons. The yard accommodates just eight horses, allowing for personalised care and attention; being family-run, your horse will receive direct oversight from Holly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, fostering a sense of community, making it an ideal setting for those who appreciate a close-knit environment—opportunities to join are rare. We take pride in our ability to turn out horses throughout the year, regardless of the weather conditions. Our facility features concrete pathways leading to winter pastures and hay huts situated on solid ground, ensuring the horses can feed on clean hay while remaining dry. Horses are turned out overnight and stabled during the day all year round. This arrangement suits those who can ride during the day while the horses are in their stables, though evening riding after work is equally acceptable. Holly is available for riding lessons and training for all riders and horses. As a dedicated and accomplished Inter1 dressage rider and eventer, she trains with Gareth Hughes and has extensive experience with 'challenging' horses, ex-racehorses, and breaking in young stock, always employing a gentle, patient, and understanding approach without the use of gadgets or shortcuts. Holly instructs a diverse group of riders, including children and eventing enthusiasts, with her pupils achieving qualification and success at various championships such as the Para Championships, ROR Championships, Area Festival Championships, and Badminton Grassroots Championships. She enjoys helping novice riders build their confidence and strengthen their bond with their horses. Holly also has considerable experience working with Para riders, which she finds particularly rewarding. Our yard is accessible and welcoming to disabled riders, and we encourage any interested Para riders to get in touch.
