Venue Description:

Helmsley Equine Retirement Livery is located in the picturesque market town of Helmsley in North Yorkshire. The facility features a Barefoot Track System, providing year-round grazing alongside traditional stone stables. These outstanding amenities ensure that your equine companion enjoys a safe and fulfilling retirement in a nurturing setting, with prices commencing at £330 per calendar month for ponies and £350 for horses, available only during the summer season from 1st April to 31st October. Horses are allowed to roam freely 24 hours a day, although they can be brought in for the night at an additional cost of £4.75 per night if needed. Each horse has access to an individual stable, equipped with rubber matting, available throughout the year. Daily feeding includes supplements, and hay or haylage is sourced from local or homegrown supplies. Rugs are adjusted as necessary, and daily checks alongside routine care are provided. The yard owner arranges and oversees visits from the dentist, physiotherapist, equine podiatrist, and vet, with costs borne by the horse owner. Worm counts and treatments are available for an extra charge, as is the administration of any required medications. The spacious track and grazing paddocks are well-maintained, with fields regularly harrowed and cleared of droppings, and troughs cleaned frequently. Weight monitoring is conducted, and regular updates about your horse's well-being are provided.During the winter months from 1st November to 31st March, daily turnout is offered. Horses are stabled every evening, with a full muck-out on straw bedding (with shavings available at an extra cost). The individual stables remain accessible year-round, and each horse receives two daily feeds with added supplements, alongside the same high-quality hay or haylage. Rug adjustments, daily checks, and routine care continue as before, ensuring your horse receives the best possible attention.
