We are thrilled to announce that we will have full grass livery available from May 2024! There are a limited number of spaces for our exceptional grass livery, which can accommodate small groups of five or individual horses. We also offer holiday livery and rehabilitation services this summer. Please feel free to call or message us at any time. Our new facility is designed specifically for retired or rehabilitating horses that thrive on companionship and appreciate the freedom to choose between being in or out. This setup allows for maximum mobility while still providing the comforts typically associated with stabling. We are proud to offer a versatile and accommodating solution for retirement, bridging the gap between full grass livery and luxury options. This arrangement is ideal for horses that may not enjoy a herd environment but still appreciate the company of a buddy, require regular hard feeds throughout the day, or need ample space to move around. It is also a perfect alternative for those undergoing rehabilitation, allowing them to recover without the risks associated with confinement, such as stress or anxiety. With stunning views surrounding the property, the experience is truly exceptional. Our private family-run establishment, located near the Devon/Cornwall border, is set at the end of a mile-long lane and is enveloped by 72 acres of serene land, creating a safe and relaxed environment for rehabilitating, resting, or retired horses. We take pride in our privacy and security while maintaining easy accessibility. We provide full retirement grass livery for horses looking to enjoy their golden years with the love and care they deserve. With year-round turnout in groups of no more than six horses, we currently manage herds of four to five. Our fields, ranging from six to eight acres, are away from any roads and feature natural shelter as well as bespoke, fully rubber-matted field shelters stocked with our own exceptional haylage available ad-lib in hay bars throughout the winter months. Our expansive loafing areas, complete with Astro turf hard standings and tracks, ensure that horses can enjoy full turnout without the inconvenience of mud. The shelters and Astro areas are cleaned twice daily, allowing the horses to choose where they feel most comfortable for resting and feeding. We conduct checks on the horses both morning and evening, as well as throughout the day. The yard is only 50 metres from our kitchen, enabling us to keep a close eye on our lovely residents. We provide year-round rug changes to ensure each horse remains comfortable regardless of the weather.
