Clandon Park Livery is situated within the expansive 1000-acre Clandon Park Estate, a private property located near Guildford in Surrey. Since 1641, when the current Earl of Onslow's forebears acquired the estate, it has provided stabling and pasture for horses. The livery is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracey Shakespeare as the new Manager. Tracey is a four-star event rider and coach dedicated to assisting riders of all levels in realising their potential with their horses. We offer full livery seven days a week, with options for individual or shared paddocks, as well as grass livery for mares and geldings, either in same-sex or mixed herds within our parkland fields. The fields for the herds are rotated at least four times a year, ensuring ample grazing. All paddocks are equipped with water troughs, most of which are automatic. New fields will be available in 2023/24. Our facilities include a newly installed hot wash box, a tea room, and ongoing refurbishments of the tack rooms. We are also incorporating solar-powered security cameras for enhanced safety. Our livery service caters to responsible and experienced adult owners of mares and geldings, with arrangements available for grazing in mixed or same-sex herds, or in shared or individual paddocks tailored to your requirements. We strive to meet the needs of both you and your horse within a supportive and structured environment. Our stables are well-managed, set within a farm context that boasts excellent grazing, rare breed sheep, and opportunities for exclusive hacking across the scenic Clandon Park. Livery clients enjoy privileged access to ride across our meadows and fields, along numerous tracks, and down our recently restored ancient pathways, benefiting from automatic membership to our riding club. A typical hack from either of our two yards presents breathtaking views, guiding you past our beautifully maintained fishing lakes, through sustainably managed forests, and along historic tree-lined avenues, reminiscent of the riding experiences from the 17th century, all without encountering public roads. Our staff are highly qualified, with a minimum of Animal Care/Welfare Level 3 (or equivalent), and include individuals with diverse backgrounds in nursing, livestock management, stable management, showing, dressage, eventing, show jumping, and stud management. The team comprises a dedicated full-time grassland manager, an Estate Manager, a Training Director, and four livery staff, alongside career and veterinary placement students
