Our establishment is a warm and inviting haven for horse lovers.Set on a 56-acre estate at the edge of the picturesque Cotswolds, Castle Farm is a family-run equestrian centre located in Wickwar, South Gloucestershire. It offers convenient access from the M4 and M5 motorways, all while surrounded by stunning countryside. We offer bespoke livery packages tailored to your requirements, ranging from grass livery to full competition livery. All liveries benefit from access to a floodlit arena, show jumps, a cross-country course, and year-round turnout, along with excellent hacking opportunities in the beautiful Gloucestershire landscape.Our facilities include a 25 x 45-metre floodlit mirrored arena featuring a top-quality freeze-resistant sand and rubber chip surface. The cross-country course, originally designed by the renowned Badminton course builders, Willis Brothers, spans approximately 1¾ miles and presents a comprehensive selection of jumps from 1’ to 3’6” in height. The course includes a variety of obstacles such as hedges, tables, benches, ditches, tiger traps, corners, and two water sections, all set against a backdrop of rolling hills, trees, and hedging that helps focus the horses’ attention on the jumps. This terrain is also excellent for improving the fitness of both horses and riders.Additional amenities comprise a showjumping paddock equipped with a course of jumps, including fillers, gates, and a water tray, all of which can be utilised in the main arena throughout the year. We have a range of stables in large and medium sizes, each fitted with automatic waterers, as well as a secure tack room, a horse shower, and wash-down area. There are also facilities for hay and feed storage, a crew room with kitchen and toilet facilities, and ample parking for lorries and cars.Regardless of whether you are new to riding or an experienced equestrian, we offer a variety of training opportunities to suit your needs.
