Bardwell Manor Equestrian Centre was founded in 1996 and is operated by the husband-and-wife duo, Sharon and Karl Dawson. Located just off the A143 near Ixworth in Suffolk, it sits conveniently between Bury St Edmunds, Diss, and Thetford. Both Karl and Sharon are highly qualified instructors, having guided numerous individuals in their riding journeys over the years. We encourage all our riders to enhance their skills by participating in the Association of British Riding Schools tests, available for both riding and horse care. The centre is also close to the network of bridleways known as ‘The Stanton Rides,’ which offers 18 miles of scenic riding. Currently, we provide working liveries exclusively at Bardwell Manor Equestrian Centre. Additionally, we now offer the chance for you to bring your own horse on holiday. From April to October, you may bring your horse(s) and choose to camp on-site in your horsebox, tent, or caravan, or opt for local accommodation. Horses can be housed in stables or post-and-rail paddocks, or a combination of both. We have toilet and shower facilities for campers and can provide electrical hook-ups for horseboxes or caravans if needed.
